Athletics Recap 9/27/21 – 10/2/21

Our Upper and Middle School athletes displayed great integrity and perseverance this past week; two values that hold true for any Tarrier here at Charles Wright.

Here’s a recap of this past week from Athletic Director Tyler Francis:

Upper School Volleyball
Varsity beat Bellevue Christian 3-2. Tarriers fought hard against Annie Wright but fell short 3-1, their first loss of the season.

Upper School Cross-Country
Tarriers hosted a home league meet at Fort Steilacoom. The young but aspiring team also attended the Curtis invite at Chambers Bay Golf Course.

Upper School Girls Soccer
Varsity fought vigorously but lost to Annie Wright and Bellevue Christian.

Upper School Boys Tennis
Tarriers beat East Jefferson 5-0. Incredible efforts made by Levi G. ’22 (7-5, 6-4), Parth J. ’23 (6-1, 6-1), Daniel D. ’24 (6-0, 6-4), Conner I. ’24 & Sam B. ’24 (6-0, 6-0), and Justin D. ’24 & Will T. ’24 (6-1. 6-0).

Upper School Football
The team fought valiantly but lost to Winlock. Ben B. ’22 and Dara O. ’22 found the endzone for the Tarriers.

Middle School Baseball
The team lost to Seattle Christian (1-3 and 0-8) in a doubleheader.

Middle School Volleyball
Tarriers fought courageously to Life Christian but fell short 3-0.
