Seeking Mentors for CWA Seniors

Interested in helping a CWA senior explore career options? Willing to share your expertise with a bright student who is interested in your profession? Does your company or organization have a short-term project suited for an intelligent, eager young intern?

We’re compiling a list of Tarrier-connected local businesses, offices, and organizations that our seniors might approach for job-shadowing or mini-internship experiences as they plan their “Senior Spark Projects” for the spring. These projects will run for two weeks this year, from May 16-27. (Please note that selected mentors will be required to complete a basic background check and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as required by Washington state mandate.)

Senior Spark Projects at CWA (formerly known as Senior Internships) is an exciting program of experiential learning, providing graduating seniors with the opportunity to explore careers and learn important life skills. Our graduates have found this program extremely rewarding, some landing summer jobs and all gaining knowledge that helped them to clarify career goals. Popular fields for CWA seniors are finance, marketing, health professions, engineering, technology, law, the arts, and education.

If you think you might be interested in acting as a mentor for a CWA senior pursuing a project this year and/or if you would like more information about the program, please fill out the form below, or contact Katie Miller, Director of Experiential Learning.
